A.L. Freedman Company was established in Springfield Massachusetts in 1906 by Albert L. Freedman. 

 

The company specialized in commercial roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal fabrication. Over the years the company grew to become one of the largest and most respected contractors in the Northeast. A.L. Freedman Company always stood as a symbol of excellence both in terms of its quality of work but also in how it treated its customers.

 

This tradition is carried on today in the consulting field. Our staff has over 100 years combined experience in all types of roofing, waterproofing, wall coatings and general construction knowledge. Since 1995 we have provided these services to a large number of well-satisfied customers in Southwest Florida. We provide our consulting services to a variety of sectors from commercial, industrial, condominium to general contractors and architects.

 

Jim Freedman, President, has over 55 years of roofing experience which includes working as a roofer, project superintendent, working for manufacturers of roofing products, product development and testing and consulting for manufacturers. Mr. Freedman teaches State of Florida approved courses on construction to property managers. Mr. Freedman holds a degree in business administration.

 

Steve Kaiser, Operations Director, has over 33 years experience in the roong industry and joined A.L. Freedman Company in 2015. For many years Steve worked for Seaman Corporation as rst a technical representative inspecting Fibertite roof installations to becoming a Direct Sales Manager. He also worked for Soprema a premier manufacturer of modied bitumen roong systems as a Florida Sales Representative. In addition Steve was the Florida Regional Manager for a national roong and building envelope consulting/engineering rm.

 

Tom Randol, IN MEMORIUM Tom passed away in January 2018. Tom had worked for A.L. Freedman Company since 2011. Tom was highly respected and admired by all of our customers and especially the property managers that he interfaced with. His knowledge of all types of roong was enormous. His calm demeanor was always evident as was his willingness to go the proverbial extra mile. Tom will always occupy a very special place in our hearts.
